Carmen Serrano Siconolfi

Since 1983, Carmen has been employed by Borah, Goldstein, Altschuler, Nahins & Goidel, P.C., a leading New York real estate law firm. Carmen is the supervisor of the firm’s Administrative Division which represents clients in matters before government regulatory agencies.

 

Together with Pastor Lester Figueroa and other concerned Staten Islanders, Carmen was a founding member of the Latino Civic Association (LCA), a not for profit organization, which worked for the advancement of the more than 55,000 Latinos who reside on Staten Island. Carmen served on the Board of Directors as the LCA’s Treasurer, Vice President and as LCA’s President. She also served on the LCA’s Board of Directors as Immediate Past President where she helped in the public relations efforts of the organization through media relations, and by raising funds for the various programs and events sponsored by the LCA.

 

Carmen’s heart and passion for service led her to assist in the relief efforts to help victims of the devastation caused by Hurricane Georges in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic and in 1999 in the Venezuela relief efforts. Carmen has also been instrumental in seeking and obtaining support from our elected officials with whom she has tirelessly worked for almost 20 years.

 

In addition, Carmen is a co-founder of El Centro de Hospitalidad (The Hospitality Center) in Port Richmond. During that time, Carmen was a member of Governor Pataki’s New York State Division for Women - New York City Advisory Council. She was a member of the former Borough President Guy V. Molinari’s - Anti-Bias Task Force. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Project Hospitality.

 

Her efforts earned Carmen a number of awards and recognitions. Carmen was presented with Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “Living the Dream” award by Governor George E. Pataki in recognition of Carmen’s continuing dedication to the legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Carmen was also honored by the Staten Island Advance as one of Staten Island’s Women of Achievement. Carmen was just recently elected to serve as a panel Judge for the Staten Island Advance for their upcoming 2014 Women of Achievement in connection with their nominations selection.

 

For the last two years Carmen has worked with Calvary’s leadership in securing turkeys, toys and coats, which were given to our community during Calvary’s Thanksgiving and Christmas outreaches.

 

After serving the Lord for over a decade, Carmen was baptized on April 16, 2008. While attending Gateway Cathedral, Carmen served on the Leadership Summit Committee on August, 2006 and she also participated in the Women’s Ministry.

 

Carmen for the last five years has been a member of Calvary Assembly of GOD where she is a faithful member. She has co-chaired the “ETC” Gala Journal in February, 2009 and in 2011 and helped coordinate the “ETC” Gala. In the past she has been involved in Calvary’s

Women’s Ministry. Carmen has also been a member of Calvary’s Leadership Summit team of volunteers for the last four years. Last year, Carmen was an integral part of the 50th Anniversary celebration committee, working with Calvary’s leadership, for its success. In February, 2014 Carmen was elected to serve as Council Member for Calvary Assembly of GOD.

 

In 2014, Carmen joined DiaRoseProductions – WeCareCreationsEnterprises, a versatile Business Development Company, as V.P. of Business Relations & Development. Carmen believed in the vision and mission of DiaRoseProductions, and was eager to bring her gifts and talents to this growing company.

 

Carmen resides in Staten Island, New York. She is the mother of Jessica, and the proud grandmother of Tiffanie, Madison and Joshua.
